Celebrated artist Paresh Maity's work on display at CIMA and Birla Academy of Art and Culture
Paresh Maity was commissioned by GMR Infrastructure and then civil aviation minister Praful Patel to create a celebration of Indian identity. For this purpose, he created two ginormous paintings, The Indian Odyssey (7ft x 800 ft) and Celebration (6.2 ft x 62 ft). These paintings entail 53 and 5 panels respectively.

Paresh Maity (born 1965) is an Indian painter.. In August 2010, his 55th solo show with watercolour paintings based on the last 15 poems of poet Rabindranath Tagore, Shesh Lekha (The Last Writings, 1941), opened at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.

Spanning nearly four decades of his artistic oeuvre, Paresh Maity has created and explored various mediums in the art including watercolour, oil and acrylic paintings, mixed media, sculptures and photography.
